That’s a par for Tiger on the 3rd. He’s headed to the fourth two under after three and six under total. Tiger finds the green at the par-3 3rd but a long birdie putt coming up. Maybe 50 feet or so. Tiger drains it. Birdie at the 2nd and he’s six under T9 and four back.
Rickie Fowler pars 16 to stay at -8. Jon Rahm birdies 17 to move into a tie for second at -9 two back. Brandon Stone nearly jarred an ace on the fly at 16 and damaged the cup in the process: Woodland makes par to counter Koepka’s bogey. Koepka’s lead is suddenly down to two shots.
Speaking of strong starts Jason Day is two under after three today and he joins a big group at seven under. Not the best putt from Woods there. Four feet remaining. Never scared the hole. Started it out too far left. It was a tough delicate putt though.
